HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR - BG15

DESCTIPTION OF DUTIES: 

The Human Resources Director will manage and facilitate the daily HR matters that arise in the firm’s U.S. offices. The Director will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) on a variety of HR matters. The Director will be proficient in all labor law compliance laws/regulations, including proficiency of the affirmative action plans for each of the firm’s U.S. offices. The Director will handle the day-to-day HR matters that arise regarding the professional staff. Additionally, the Director will work closely with others in the HR Department to include the Director of Support Staff, HR Manager as well as HR staff and work closely with other departmental Managers, Directors and Chiefs at the firm. The Director will be the back-up to the Director of Support Staff, who primarily focuses on hiring, onboarding and offboarding of staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring new and existing labor laws for compliance purposes and working closely with the CHRO and others within the HR Department to ensure compliance with these laws/regulations in the firm’s U.S. offices. Working closely with the CHRO and firm management at all levels firmwide to accomplish goals/objectives for the professional development of all staff and to implement and maintain core competencies, learning paths, etc. for all staff positions working with internal stakeholders as well as our vendors. Participating and conducting exit interviews with professional staff and maintaining exit interview information for professional staff as well as tracking themes of employee experiences through the exit interview process in an effort to improve the overall experience of the firm’s professional staff. Facilitating the HR Department budget as well as reviewing budgets of several sub-departments within the HR Department. Assisting with DC office events and initiatives hosted by the HR Department. Working on special projects.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of ten years of human resources generalist and five years of supervisory/management experience with significant capabilities in conflict resolution in a law firm or professional service organization. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Human Resources and applicable labor laws for compliance purposes. Exhibit exceptional judgment and oral/written communication abilities, flexibility and professionalism. Ability to lead effectively while being a team player. Ability to multitask and prioritize large volume of information while maintaining significant attention to detail and producing a high quality work product. Ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information. Possess financial/budgetary and analytical skills as well as project management skills. Ability to be a change agent and drive new firm initiatives. Ability to define goals and follow through to achieve results as well as exhibit strong problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate strategic focus, self-motivation and a drive to action. Possess exceptional client service both internal and external. Demonstrate proficiency using HRIS, time and attendance, performance and budget software as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

LEGAL RECRUITING COORDINATOR - BG30

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

Work with Director of Human Resources and Recruitment Committee to execute on Firm’s recruitment strategy. Work with appropriate hiring managers to assess talent needs; create and update job descriptions as appropriate. Maintain and update recruitment content on Firm website and recruitment platforms. Source candidates through appropriate recruitment sources, including employment ads, social media campaigns, law school career services, affinity groups, and professional organizations. Maintain applicant records, ensure data integrity, and prepare statistics. Manage candidate experience by serving as point person for all candidate communications; coordinate interview schedules, travel, and meeting logistics. Gather and analyze interview feedback. Interact with headhunters and placement agency partners. Conduct market analysis. Coordinate on-boarding experience and new employee mentoring and support.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience; SHRM certification preferred. 3+ years of recruitment or related experience in a law firm or professional services firm preferred. Experience with applicant tracking software preferred. Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Exceptional professionalism, time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Impeccable attention to detail. Proven ability to respond quickly and appropriately, “experience-oriented” mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
