DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Human Resources Department has an opening for a Human Resources Assistant in the Washington, D.C. Office. The responsibilities include but are not limited to processing FMLA payroll authorizations for staff and attorneys. Handling all the FMLA electronic filing and personnel electronic filing. Entering all non-employee worker information into Epicor. Processing staff employment verifications. Preparing new hire orientation schedules, reserving conference rooms, sending calendar invites, preparing new hire packets, giving the Firm tours and distributing the new hire forms for DC staff. Preparing the bi-weekly staff recruiting letters, printing resumes and scanning recruiting documents into the database. Assisting with Staff Appreciation Week and other events hosted by the HR department.
Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative support position. Experience in a law firm, corporate or professional environment preferred. Advanced proficiency using databases, MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus. A minimum typing speed of 50 wpm. Two-year college degree or equivalent experience. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with a sense of urgency, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organization and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information. Must have strong client service skills.
SENIOR LEGAL RECRUITING COORDINATOR - BG11
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Coordinate the Summer Program-specific diversity programs, such as the LCLD 1L Scholars Program and SEO Intern Program. Coordinate the on-campus interview program (OCI) and callback interview process including law school registration and other OCI-related logistics, staffing of firm hospitality suites, scheduling callback interviews, “second-look” visits and post-offer recruiting events. Work closely with school relationship managers regarding year-round recruiting initiatives on various law school campuses. Work closely with the Legal Recruitment Manager on lateral associate hiring. Prepare weekly reports for the lateral hiring partners and Management Committee Liaison summarizing the lateral recruiting pipeline. Draft annual year-end recruiting report for the Hiring Committee. Work with Manager and Director to finalize report for presentation and distribution. Assist Manager with training new team members on department policies, procedures and databases. Monitor and update applicant information in recruiting database (viRecruit) as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Legal Recruitment and the Legal Recruitment Manager.
An undergraduate degree and a minimum of three years of legal recruiting experience in a law firm setting is required. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proven ability to interface with personnel at all levels. Strong MSOffice skills needed, with particular attention to Excel. Experience with viRecruit or another Legal Recruitment database is strongly preferred. During peak seasons (May through September), availability for overtime is necessary.
$64,000+ depending on experience.
