PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - BG11
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Support the Professional Development Managers in delivering high-quality firm and practice specific training. Act as liaison for training with committees, practice groups, administrative departments, attorneys and staff throughout the Firm. Serve as point of contact for internal presenters and outside consultants and vendors. Manage all program logistics including scheduling, registration, materials, and logistics including conference facilities, food service, and technology. Draft and distribute program communications. Assist in promotion of professional development activities. Serve as CLE database administrator; coordinate CLE administration and record-keeping for attorneys’ resident in the Washington, DC office and coordinate with other offices to do the same. Ensure firm-sponsored programs comply with CLE requirements as appropriate. Act as liaison with marketing for client programs in jurisdictions the firm supports. Maintain data and generate usage reports for CLE tracking system and other rosters as needed. Produce annual Course Catalog and work with practice groups to update Portfolios and Curricula on an ongoing basis. Maintain knowledge base of available training alternatives and respond to inquiries about outside training opportunities. Keep financial records. Assist with department budget analysis. Special projects as directed. Other duties as assigned.
Candidate must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, capability to issue-spot, strong organizational skills, and independent sense of follow-through to carry tasks through completion without prompting. Ability to work in a collegial team environment, as well as to take initiative and work independently. Client service orientation. Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact in a professional manner with attorneys and other personnel at all levels. Strong computer skills and exposure to database search and data entry, preferably a human resources or learning management system. Knowledge of viCLE is a plus.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Two years’ experience in comparable position in law firm or other fast-paced professional services environment, preferably in training environment. Bachelor's degree.
