MARKETING RESEARCH SPECIALIST - BG11

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 

The research specialist conducts market and competitive intelligence research, supports the Firm’s client relationship management program, and other Firm related business development efforts on a wide variety of research activities. Conduct, manage and support the production of accurate client, industry, market, and competitive intelligence research and analysis in support of pitches, RFPs and a variety of other business development and strategic planning initiatives. Interpret and analyze research data and news developments, distill them into concise, understandable summaries and graphic formats. Assist in the development of primary and secondary market research in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required. Assist with the preparation of company profiles, bios, news research and corporate transactional, regulatory compliance, and litigation reports. Conduct and/or participate in work product quality review and audits. Assist with any other duties assigned to fully meet the requirements and needs of the team/department.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

Excellent writing skills at a professional audience level. Experience in performing legal analysis and issue spotting. Familiarity with news, legal and business information sources, and a wide variety of interdisciplinary materials. Ability to set priorities, manage projects and adhere to critical deadlines. Integrity, accountability, and resourcefulness. Critical thinking and analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy. Four-year college degree. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in performing business-related research and analysis on markets, industries, companies, and individuals. Experience in a law firm or other professional services firm environment. Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, experience in Interaction client relationship management software preferred. Experience in social media monitoring highly desirable.

SALARY:

$56,700 depending on experience.

CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGER - BG11

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented manager to work with lawyers to manage and expand key client relationships. This is an opportunity to be part of a uniquely collaborative culture, working with a dynamic team within our global Marketing and Business Development function. This position will further develop systematic programs and initiatives to effectively manage and expand relationships with key clients by identifying and pursuing the highest value opportunities globally. This position reports to the Director of Client Relations. Will train and coach relationship managers (RMs) to meet established benchmarks and implement industry best practices for key account management. Develop and execute annual client plans. Facilitate regular meetings between RMs and key clients. Coordinate efforts around new business generation with existing and new clients supporting the business strategy and related targeting initiatives across practices and industry sectors. Prepare client pitch materials, including responses to RFPs, and conduct preparatory sessions with lawyers prior to client meetings. Track win/loss record. Other responsibilities as assigned and required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in business, marketing, communications, or related field. MBA a plus. Minimum of five years of experience in professional services marketing and business development. Demonstrated background of accomplishment in marketing and business development. Previous law firm experience is highly desirable. Previous experience with a client feedback program and substantive involvement in client targeting or business generation initiatives are preferred. Experience conducting client feedback interviews is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and initiative. Creative, value-added orientation. Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively while managing tight deadlines and competing priorities. Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Facility with InterAction or Salesforce.com is a plus.
