DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

The Programmer/Analyst 3 is responsible for designing and developing database-driven business solutions for the Firm and its clients. System development will be accomplished using a wide range of Microsoft tools and products including Visual Studio.Net, MS SQL, and SharePoint. Full lifecycle responsibility, from initial design through implementation, including on-going support, is expected. As part of the Application Development team, the successful candidate will consult on, design, program, and implement solutions for information management, workflow, and knowledge management serving the Firm's practice groups and administrative departments. This includes maintaining and supporting existing internal SharePoint websites and applications, designing and implementing improvements to various systems, and integrating and customizing third-party software within our existing application environment.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

6-8 years’ experience in programming/application development with MS Technologies (ASP.NET, C#, XML/XSL, .NET Frameworks, web services and SQL Server), VB Script and JAVA Script, and demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy business applications. 2-4 years’ experience in administering to and developing in SQL Server 2008 – 2016. Strong MS SQL and T-SQL skills such as writing stored procedures, triggers, etc. Experience with SSRS a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access and PowerPoint. Experience with Elite is a plus. Demonstrated ability to support third party legal or business applications including, but not limited to, docketing, forms generation, legal recruiting, legal research, document management, and conference scheduling. Thorough understanding of the application lifecycle process. Previous law firm or professional

services experience preferred. Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) for Microsoft.NET preferred. College degree in computer science or other technical discipline preferred.

PROGRAMMER/ANALYST 2 (FINANCE APPLICATIONS) - BG11

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the requirements definition, design, programming, implementation and support of the Firm’s applications for practice groups and client-specific matters. The primary responsibility of the Programmer/Analyst is to analyze the client or business problem, define the requirements, recommend, program and implement solutions as decided by the group or client. The Programmer/Analyst’s overall duties are to provide application and database support for the legal environment, provide technical assistance for hardware and software issues, and conduct short- and long-term technical projects. Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

A minimum of 2 year programming or scripting experience with Visual Basic, C#, Windows Powershell or T-SQL. A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting batch procedures, SQL stored procedures, and scripts. A minimum of 2 years’ experience maintaining and supporting commercial off the shelf applications and the integrations that enable data exchange between them. A minimum of 1 year experience supporting financial systems in a professional services environment. Experience with 3E, ChromeRiver, Equitrac is preferred. Administration experience with Windows 2012 Server, and/or SQL Server a plus. College degree in technical discipline or information systems preferred.

SERVICE DESK ANALYST - BG15

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

The Information Technology Department has multiple Service Desk Analyst openings in the Washington, DC office. The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to the Firm and clients of the Firm. Responsibilities include: Providing end-user support services, troubleshooting assistance, and problem resolution via telephone, remote desktop connection, and/or visits to user locations; exhibiting ownership and timely resolution of all incident tickets and change orders; interacting directly with other IT groups to determine the proper remediation for an issue; setting-up and quality assurance testing of new hardware and software for existing and new end-users in the Firm and other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

Minimum of three years of experience in end-user support. Two-year college degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Technical experience configuring and supporting workstations, laptops, printers, and related equipment.

IT PROJECT MANAGER - BG11

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

The IT Project Manager (ITPM) oversees and ensures the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. The ITPM supports the project efforts of the IT organization. Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks. Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline work plan. Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Implement project communication plan. Perform risk assessment, and document mitigation plans. Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the enterprise. Lead project planning and status meetings. Ensure that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives. Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

3 - 5 years experience in technology project management with business unit facing experience. Experience project managing multiple initiatives simultaneously as well as large enterprise projects. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile). Demonstrated experience coordinating a project team and leading project status meetings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous exposure to a law firm environment a plus. Bachelors Degree required and Project Manager certifications preferred, such as Project Management Institute.

MANAGER OF APPLICATION SUPPORT - BG11

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

 

Provide new application solutions to lawyers and staff to enable improved collaboration, productivity, and effectiveness. Manage technology operations to function smoothly and economically with primary emphasis on business effectiveness, availability, stability, and reliability. Oversee workload of staff; develop, mentor, and motivate a team of junior and senior developers with diverse mix of skill sets and experience. Facilitate teamwork with technology personnel from other groups in IT, vendors, and integrators in the delivery of systems and integrated software applications. Monitor industry trends and anticipate changes to how application solutions are implemented and deployed Firm-wide. Prepare input to the annual operating and capital budgets and recommend long-range and annual technology plans. Design application architecture that enhances internal and external collaboration. Develop measures and plans to continuously improve the user experience. Develop and execute project management plans to achieve desired time lines as systems and programs are selected, purchased, installed, and/or further developed. Recommend and implement best practices, processes, and procedures related to all aspects of application development. Ensure applications meet the Firm’s information security requirements and remediate deficiencies when identified. Proactively apply quality management, change control, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction control procedures.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

7-10 years of experience managing information systems and team of developers, with extensive work in a large Firm setting, a comparable professional services organization, or a legal information services provider. Substantial experience in design and architecture of on-premises SharePoint environments. Strong background leading Document Management System (DMS) support, particularly iManage. Experience with Workday and building/supporting data integrations between Workday and other systems. Experience with cloud ecosystems incorporating Office365, Office2016, Skype for Business, Teams, and mobile devices. Strong background in DirSync, identity management, and Active Directory and ADFS authentication. Demonstrated experience improving the user experience preferably in a professional services firm. Experience applying waterfall and agile methodologies in developing customs solutions as needed. Strong leadership and project management skills required. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required. Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills required. Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience. Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline preferred. Certification in select Microsoft Cloud services is preferable.
