TITLE:   Audio Video Technician                                                          BG122

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Works under the oversight of the Global Video Conference Services Manager with day – to –day operational supervision from the IT Office Manager and is responsible for providing the operational support of the Video Conference Network and its peripherals both locally and in conjunction with other offices, as well as providing back-up support to the Washington office IT department.  This will include scheduling any/all conferences.  Will interact directly with videoconference users to provide remote—phone based, and or in-room support/troubleshooting for real time and scheduled videoconference bridges, as well as effective and timely remedy based trouble call management and escalations. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:  3 years AV work in a professional services firm or  with a technical firm but must have provided AV/VC solutions.  A comprehensive technical understanding of AV/VC technologies is required such as Creston control systems, Cisco/Tandberg and Polycom Video Conferencing Systems including TMS and bridge operation, sound reinforcement and basic camera operations.  Must also be experience with Tandberg Network devices such as TMS, Gateways, Gatekeepers, Expressway, Multi-point control units and multi-point Servers .  Desirable:  Crestron Processors and Interfaces, Crestron Programming/source code up-load and minor program/code changes/amendments or other technical qualifications.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Prepare documents for attorney review and submission to the U. S.  Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) via the USPTO electronic filing  system for new design, utility and  U. S. national stage patent application  filings. Document preparation includes Inventor Declarations,  Assignments, submission of formal drawings, drafting Preliminary  Amendments, Information Disclosure  Statements and responses to other USPTO  formalities requirements.  Will also direct client and foreign associate communications, including reporting USPTO communications and actions to clients requiring  familiarity with client’s reporting  procedures. Responsible for daily monitoring of attorney dockets and  compliance with due dates and keeping attorneys and docket support staff apprised

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: They prepare new U.S. applications from start to finish, including  related documents, and present them to the attorneys for signature.  It  would be helpful if they knew how to e-file applications, as that is the direction everyone is headed in.  You need to be very detail oriented  and able to proof your work.  Even a minor error can cost a lot of time  and money for the firm and/or client. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Serves as Senior Staff Contractor for facilities-related projects and  tasks, to include, but not limited to the maintenance of the Firms space, including the daycare  facility, the Walker building and  storage areas, as follows: Effect minor plumbing repairs at coffee  stations, water fountains and restrooms; effect repairs of hardware at  office doors and stairwell doors;  install, maintain and repair systems  furniture; install and repair fixtures and furnishings throughout the  Firms space as needed.  Will also patch, repair and paint drywalls,  doors and millwork,  including partner built-in units as well as work closely with the Firms contracted maintenance vendors to  ensure that the Firms supplemental HVAC units are well-maintained and  operating properly and to  ensure that plumbing and electrical  issues are quickly and effectively addressed as issues occur and more as needed.
