TITLE: Litigation Practice Marketing/Business Development Manager KG16
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Will provide planning and implementation support to lawyers for client expansion and new business development activities for assigned sub-practice area. Works with practice marketing and business development director/assistant directors in marketing planning and program development. Manages specific marketing/BD programs and projects identified in the annual practice marketing/BD plan (as assigned). Participates in market research/analysis and information development / management. Directly manages specific marketing communications activities, including submissions to publications, Web postings, databases, marketing materials, etc. In collaboration with Director of Practice Marketing & Business Development for an assigned group of sub-practices: participates in research and analysis related to strategic business planning, analyzes potential business-development opportunities and supports pitch development and delivery, provides RFP response support (strategy and tactics), with research staff, tracks competitors, marketplace positioning, recruiting, and other key data useful for marketing/BD planning at the practice, office, and client levels. Supports Strategic Marketing/BD Support staff to ensure lawyers receive high-quality Client Team, pitch and proposal-response support. Provides marketing support to practice group and office leaders: Specific marketing program planning, management and implementation, and results assessment and reporting.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated success in a marketing and/or a business development-related position, either in the professional services arena (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position in the corporate, trade association, or academic sectors. Must have an undergraduate degree, preferably in a marketing, business, research, or communications-related field; a graduate or law degree is desirable. Candidate needs proven project management skills, solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated marketing experience.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Handle all duties regarding promotion of the law firm and its attorneys, consistent with our larger marketing activities. He/She will write and place news releases, firm announcements and attorney-written articles; develop targeted media lists; field media inquiries; proactively seek out recognition opportunities (awards, directories, etc.) for attorneys; write nominations; leverage rankings; track outreach activities and results. Candidate needs to be motivated, proactive, detail oriented and organized. Exceptional writer, proficient editor and proofreader, demonstrate the ability to work independently, identify, initiate and execute projects. Team player with positive attitude. Effectively manage others and prioritize and handle changing project criteria, multiple projects and tight deadlines.
REQUIRED SKILLS: 5 Years Professional Experience, preferably legal, excellent oral/written communications skills; Fluency in MS Office and familiarity with databases is required. A four year
college degree is required; journalism or English degree is a plus.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Analyze, maintain marketing information and database by performing the following: assisting in planning marketing strategies and objectives. Monitors profitability, performance of existing database and email marketing database. Produces regularly scheduled reports from marketing database. Assists in planning and implementing public relations programs, annual events and home shows. Monitors and evaluates advertising budgets and usage. Coordinates various marketing fulfillment duties and systems including direct mail, packages, letters, newsletters, internet, intranet, radio, TV and other advertising mediums.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Prefer BS and 2 years marketing experience but may consider someone with 4 years of experience and no degree. Also must know Microsoft Office Suites but would also like to see some intranet software packages such as Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop and email.
